Therapy for Women in St. Louis Who Feel Overwhelmed, Disconnected, or Stuck

You’re managing everything on the outside but internally you feel overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, and stuck in patterns you can’t think your way out of.

EMDR and trauma therapy can help you finally feel like yourself again.

Serving all of Missouri, Illinois, and Florida

You look fine on the outside but it doesn’t feel that way inside.

You’re the one people rely on. The one who holds everything together. You’re capable, thoughtful, and high-functioning.

  • But internally, your mind won’t slow down

  • You replay conversations second-guess yourself

  • You feel emotionally drained, and wonder why relationships feel harder than they should.

  • You’re tired of overthinking

You’ve probably tried to figure this out on your own. And you’re still feeling stuck.

This is how anxiety, burnout, and trauma often show up.

For many high-functioning women, trauma doesn’t always look obvious.

  • Anxiety that never fully turns off

  • Burnout and mental exhaustion

  • People-pleasing and overgiving

  • Difficulty setting boundaries

  • Feeling disconnected in relationships

  • Repeating the same relationship patterns even when you understand them.

You don’t have to have experienced a major trauma for your pain to be real.

Therapy can help you feel different…not just cope better.

This work isn’t just about talking through what happened.

It’s about helping your nervous system finally settle—so you can:

  • Feel calmer instead of constantly overwhelmed

  • Stop overthinking every interaction

  • Trust yourself again

  • Feel more secure and confident in relationships

  • Feel more present, grounded, and connected to yourself.

EMDR trauma therapist

My Approach

My approach is grounded, trauma-informed, and direct…  in a way that still feels safe.

I’m not here to rush you or work on the surface.

I help you get underneath what’s been keeping you stuck - so we can start to understand what’s actually going on and what you truly need.

Together, we identify the patterns and roadblocks that are getting in your way… and begin to gently work through them in a way that feels steady and manageable.

This isn’t one-size-fits-all work.

We work with what’s coming up for you - not a script or a set formula.

When it’s helpful, I use EMDR therapy to help process what you’ve been carrying and reduce the overwhelm that comes with it.

But more than anything… this work is about helping you reconnect with yourself and create real, lasting change.

    • Overwhelmed but still functioning

    • Disconnected from themselves

    • Anxious, burnt out, or emotionally exhausted

Many of my clients are working through perfectionism, people-pleasing, or the long-term effects of growing up in emotionally complex environments.

I also support women navigating boundaries, identity, and relationships—including those impacted by a loved one’s addiction.

If you’re looking for deeper healing—not just coping—this may be a good fit.

  • For clients who want it, yes.
